There are two suspensions Bridges in Rishikesh, one is Ram Jhula and the second is Lakshman Jhula. Like Ram Jhula, no bikes are allowed on this bridge, thus making it most attractive for tourists as they cross the bridge by walking. Historical Importance

Built in 1923, this 137-meter footbridge is an essential way of pedestrian traffic across the Ganga. It is located around 5 Km from the main city. As per some old stories, Lord Ram crossed the river Ganga at this place with the help of Ropes along with his Younger Brother, Lakshman. Later Iron Bridge is constructed by one businessman called Surajmal Jhunjhunwala.

By Train: The railway station closest to go to Laxman Jhula is Rishikesh railway station. It is only 3 km away from Laxman Jhula. Cabs are easily available at the Railway Station for providing quick transportation service to Laxman Jhula.

By Flight: The airport closest to Laxman Jhula is Jolly Grant Airport. The distance between Laxman Jhula and Jolly Grant Airport is 21.7 km. You can take a cab to reach Laxman Jhula.
