Waghai Botanical Gardens

Waghai Botanical Gardens is a treasure for all the nature lovers’. This botanical gardens is 2 kms away from Waghai and stretches over 24 hectares. Waghai Botanical Gardens has stored 1,400 kinds of plants only from India. This garden is also a Bio Diversity Conservation Centre, which consist of a wide range of exotic and native plants. There are also samples present in order to educate the visitors about the plants culinary and medicinal properties.
You can avail the service of nature education trail, which is from Vansda Park and leaves back to the same place. You will find ample amount of information written on the marble slots about the trees and the plants. There are four kinds of bamboos you get to see like Chinese bamboo, Bottle bamboo, Beer bamboo and Golden bamboo.

This palace is the last sign of the Madhavrao dynasty. After the death of Maharao Juvansinhji Jadeja in 1991 (UK) Sharad Baug Palace, was converted into a museum. Sharad Baug Palace is located to the east of the beautiful lake ‘Hamirsar’. This palace came into existence in 1867 AD. This palace is known for its amazing and magnificent beauty.
The key features of this palace include Gardens, which are full of greenery and fresh air. As one enters the palace, one is greeted with an artistic and a huge drawing room. As Maharao used to live here, the personal belongings are kept for display. The dining room is located in the other building.
The gardens are the heart of the palace. The gardens has luscious nurseries ranging from grass to plants. The condition of the grass is so favorable that well renowned tennis players are usually invited. If any body wants to buy plants then this suitable place where visitors are allowed to stroll and also buy plants from the palaces nursery. This is known to be the most relaxing and soothing place in the entire Bhuj area.
Indroda Nature Park

Indroda Natures Park is a magical land in itself as it stretches over an area of 468 hectares on the bank of the Sabarmati River and is located on the fringes of Ahmedabad. This Natures Park is an apt spot for nature lovers. The Sabarmati River divides the park into two parts. In the summer season, thin sloth of water flows very slowly in the sand based riverbed but during the monsoon season, the flow is much heavier.
Wild Animals like Wild Boar, Crusted honeybee buzzard, Porcupine, Hare, Jackal and different kinds of mammals are residents of the park. One can also explore a very healthy range of birds and reptiles that are found here. Although it is a nature’s hub but this nature’s park is surrounded by a small zoo, office buildings and botanical gardens. In the world Indroda nature park is considered to be the second largest hatchery of Dinosaur eggs. It is also known as India’s Jurassic Park.
This park is managed by Gujarat Ecological Education and Research Foundation and is also the only dinosaur museum of its kind in India. The main feature of this park is that the fossils kept for display were excavated from different parts of Gujarat (Panchmahals, Balasinor, Vadodara and parts of Kheda). The park also includes a zoo , a huge Botanical Garden, an interpretation centre, monolithic skeleton remains of sea mammals like blue whale, also includes an amphitheatre and camping facilities. For all you bird and animal lovers Indroda Nature Park has a Wilderness Park, which includes exotic species of birds, langurs, hundreds of nilgais, reptiles and peafowls.

Sardar Patel Museum

This was a palace, which was converted into a museum. Now this museum holds a beautiful garden called Sardar Open Garden. If you visit this garden you will find dotted peacocks and monkeys wandering around the tree. With the mix of natural atmosphere and palatial settings, this place is a must visit

Kankaria Lake

This Lake is polygonal in shape, mainly known for its Garden, which is an island garden, called, as Nagina Wadi, .The view from this garden is really ecstatic as it is based on an island. Children can have fun at the amusement park and Bal Vatika.
Pratap Vilas Palace and Peter Scott Nature Park

The royal palace was constructed within 1907-1915. This palace has got a tinse of European style in its architecture. In the year 1968, the king of this place Maharaja Jam Singh changed the palatial grounds into Natures Park. The King got live specimen of some species in order to conserve them. After the confiscation of all the royal properties by the government of India the condition of this park is not all that good. You need to get a permit from the royal family to visit this park, you can go to their office, which is in Darbar Gadh.
Sayaji Baug

This park stretches on the bank of a river and covers a total area of 45 hectares. This Park was constructed by Maharaja Sayajirao III in the year 1879. This park is known, as Kamati Baug. This Park is so big that you will need at least half of the day to fully research each and every aspect. This park has two museums, a planetarium, a zoo, a functional toy train, and a flower clock. The planetarium is a major attraction as it shows the entire universe in thirty minutes.
Saputara Gardens
